Bid On Maria’s Eggs

I was just informed that you can now bid on the eggs that Maria decorated at the Diet Pepsi Holiday House last week. You can find the eggs, which are being auctioned by Clothes Off Our Back, here and here. All the proceeds from this auction benefit Feeding America. And it is important to remember that $1 provides 16 meals for a child- so you won’t need to be thinking twice before you spend any money on this.

United Egg Producers donated a truckload of eggs to Feeding America for every egg decorated. So a big thank-you to them any everyone who took the time to decorate an egg.

Autism Awareness Day was ten days ago. In order to promote the cause and to raise awareness about autism Barnes & Noble partnered with Autism Speaks to host special Storytimes at over 500 stores throughout the US last year. Maria and Ben Vereen read “Since We’re Friends: An Autism Picture Book,” by Celeste Shally and David Harrington to kids and their parents in Los Angeles. You can watch a little clip of the reading over at http://www.autismspeaks.org. Images of the event have been added to the gallery.

New Layout

As you can all see there is a new layout! I finally got around to converting the site to wordpress. I hope you like the new look as much as I do. Most of the content has not yet been added as wordpress pages- so you’ll have to live without that for a couple of days- but I’ll get around to doing that as soon as possible.

New Owner and Site Overhaule

The site has obviously not been updated for over half a year - but that will change soon. The site has changed owners and hosts a couple of weeks ago. After being down for a long time the site is back and will be kept updated from now on. The new owner is me Masha and our host is Zane.
Maria attended lots of events during the downtime and most recently the 66 Annual Golden Globe Awards. You can view all of the about 300 new images here
